Luke Skywalker was a seemingly ordinary boy from the desert planet Tatooine. Together with Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and pilots Han Solo and Chewbacca, he rescued Princess Leia from captivity and joined the Rebel Alliance in their fight against the Empire.

This 500 Galactic Credits souvenir note is dedicated to Luke Skywalker. The note is part of the Star Wars Series, which comprises a total of eight notes and is an official collection of the Walt Disney Company. It is made from genuine banknote paper and has a watermark and UV design as security features. While the obverse is vertically oriented, the reverse is horizontal. In addition to the main motif, the Star Wars logo is applied to the obverse as a gold foil patch. The folding card, designed exclusively for the note, provides interesting background information about Luke.
